Street Medicine Team and Outreach Services

The BFC Street Medicine Team is a collective of lay community health workers working under the advice of licensed medical providers. We offer a variety of medical services both within the main clinic at 2339 Durant and on outreach. Our outreach services include pop-up flu shot clinics, foot care, wound care, basic first-aid, and rapid testing for HIV, Hepatitis C, and syphilis.

Currently, we provide monthly medical outreach at Berkeley NEED's Thursday night syringe distribution site at 9th and University. We're there on the first Thursday of every month from 6-8pm. We also conduct roving medical outreach at Berkeley encampments on the third Saturday of each month from 11-1pm.

During influenza season, we hold pop-up flu shot clinics at encampments, mutual aid fairs, shelters, and community centers.
