The Funding Section writes grants, communicates with donors and business partners, and manages fundraising events for the BFC

While no funding experience is necessary to volunteer with us, we seek individuals with strong communication skills and a proven ability to complete tasks. We also require time commitment and dedication to providing non-profit health care. In exchange for your time, you will learn new skills such as grant writing, program evaluation, event planning, and media relations, all while participating in a meaningful volunteer experience.  For more information about getting involved with the Funding Section, please email

All-Clinic Orientation

If you are interested in getting more info about volunteering, please attend an All-Clinic Orientation (ACO)! that takes place the third Monday of every month at 7:30PM. We will be there to answer any questions you have about the funding section and talk about your interests. Please note, it is requirement for all prospective volunteers (except GMHC administrative volunteers) to attend an ACO.
